OverviewElectrical Engineer role at AECOM, location: London/ Kitchener, Ontario. The position supports projects across Water & Wastewater, Transportation, Buildings, and Sustainability sectors, including renewable energy (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. You will work under moderate supervision and contribute to a variety of engineering design and analysis tasks while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical analyses, calculations, and routine tests in compliance with applicable codes and standards.Assist in preparing technical specifications, design drawings, memos, and reports.Identify discrepancies in results and propose solutions using sound engineering judgment.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to fulfill project scope, budget, and timeline.Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate electrical conditions and provide recommendations.Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers, EITs and technicians.Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering plus four (4) years of relevant professional experienceProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario in good standingPreferred QualificationsExperience in Water & Wastewater, Transportation, Buildings, and Sustainability (PV and EV systems).Experience with design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or similar.Solid knowledge of power systems: MV/LV distribution, lighting, controls, renewable energy systems.Proficiency with engineering calculations and preparing technical documentation.Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).Ability to meet established deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in a team or independently; self-motivated and detail-oriented.Additional InformationRelocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship is not available for this position.Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
