8882 170 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 4J2, CanadaJob DescriptionPosted Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.The Refrigeration Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilating and conditioning systems in West Edmonton Mall, as well as the various tenants in the mall.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilizing Journeyman Refrigeration trade knowledge by repairing and maintaining component parts of air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in various areas of West Edmonton Mall.Installing and replacing all types of pumps or refrigeration equipment, according to prints, specifications, diagrams or other instructions.Reading and interpret gauges and instruments and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls and pumps to control the levels of pressure in the distribution in systems.Conducting the maintenance of all Refrigeration and HVAC Systems in West Edmonton mall such as; roof tops units, make-up air units, exhaust fans, and fan coils are maintained and functioning to meet the operational needs of the facility.Conducting repairs and maintenance of component parts of air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in various areas of West Edmonton Mall.Maintaining cooling towers, water treatment facilities and tower distribution system.Other responsibilities as required.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants must have a valid Journeyman Refrigeration Certificate.A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Commercial or Industrial HVAC Refrigeration based repair environment or position.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.Must be able to walk long distances, work from heights, work in small spaces and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ice Plant experience is an asset.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:This is a full-time position that requires a flexible schedule to be available Monday through Friday, and on call when required.This position has a starting wage of $41.50/hourMust be able to pass a basic security clearance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
