Key ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresParticipate in the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every dayAssist in the tracking, analysis and reporting of Key Performance Indicators within Mine OperationsIdentify areas of improvement and help build out and support continuous improvement initiatives targeting improvementsContribute to projects sought at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving operational safetyCollaborate with multi-functional teams to help implement the best procedures, streamline processes, and improve efficiencyQualificationsWorking towards an Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Mining/Mineral Resource EngineeringMotivated self-starters with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneouslyComfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical and operational personnelWillingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrainStrong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate sophisticated ideas to all levelsProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Proficiency with PowerBIA valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle for the duration of the co-op is requiredAll students will be required to complete a pre-employment drug and medical screening prior to commencing work.Why Join Us?Why consider Teck Resources Ltd for your Co-op Placement?At Teck, we offer more than just a job – we provide a comprehensive student experience comprised of relevant, hands-on work, vibrant social activities, extensive networking opportunities, and rich professional development.
