Job Title Intermediate/Senior Teacher, Long-Term Occasional Assignment Job Posting Number External OECTA #2526-124 Eligibility This posting is open to Teachers on the Occasional Teachers list currently employed by Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and external applicants. Salary Range The salary of a teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement according to QECO rating and years of experience. Effective September 1, 2025 teacher salaries will range from $56,288.00 to $119,949.00 (based on a 1.0 FTE) Closing Date January 21, 2026 at 4pm Assignment Regiopolis Notre Dame Catholic High School, Alternative Education Program 1.0 FTE, Intermediate/Senior Teacher of Student Success (3 Sections, Semester 2), Long-Term Occasional Assignment. Commencing February 4, 2026 until further notice Qualifications Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Intermediate/Senior Subject Specific Qualifications Special Education, Part 1 Experience working with at risk learners Position requires trauma informed approach Trained in Threat Assessment protocol ASSIST trained or willing to become trained Application and Requirements Cover Letter with Resume Current Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers Submission of (current within 1 year) OR a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate and a Two professional letters of reference As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must provide a Criminal Background Check (CBC) with vulnerable sector screening current within six months of date of hire. Note: Filling of long-term occasional assignments shall occur without an in-person interview. Boards shall continue to staff long-term occasional assignments from the 3 most senior qualified applicants who are available for the assignment. Being available for the assignment is defined as not already being assigned to another LTO position during the term of the posted assignment.
