Your Opportunity The Peter Lougheed Centre is offering this opportunity for a full-time Plumber/Steamfitter. The FM&E department at the Peter Lougheed Centre is a fast-paced dynamic environment suitable to a highly motivated and energetic individual. Description As a Plumber/Steamfitter you will perform a range of journeyperson level duties associated with the installation and plumbing services and piping systems, fixtures, equipment and controls used to transport water, waste, gas, air, and steam. You will be responsible for monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, documenting and analyzing performance of high and low pressure steam, hot water heating, associated distribution and control systems and equipment, plumbing, medical gas, domestic hot & cold water, tempered water, glycol, chilled water, natural gas, storm and sanitary sewer. In addition, you will prepare feasibility and cost estimates and reports and request or order supplies. Classification: Plumber/Steamfitter Union: AUPE GSS Unit and Program: Facilities Maintenance & Engineering Primary Location: Peter Lougheed Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 21-JAN-2026 Employee Class: Regular Full Time Date Available: 31-JAN-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $42.95 Maximum Salary: $46.37 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Plumber and Journeyperson Steamfitter-Pipefitter certificates from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Additional Required Qualifications Must have 3-5 years' experience working in a commercial or hospital setting performing plumber and/or steam fitting tasks. Good knowledge of the National Plumbing Code (NPC). Proven reliability, cooperation, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to follow directions and adapt to varying work requirements. Ability to comprehend and utilize a computerized maintenance system. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift 50LBS/22.5KG. Must be able to be half mask fit tested. All other duties as required. Preferred Qualifications Trades Qualification/Journeyperson Certificates: Gasfitter A or B for the province of Alberta. AWWA Certified Cross Connection control tester. Minimum 1 year experience Medical Gas installer certified in compliance with CSA Z7396.1. 2+ experience of Hospital/Institutional maintenance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
