Your Opportunity:The Peter Lougheed Centre is offering this opportunity for a full-time Plumber/Steamfitter. The FM&E department at the Peter Lougheed Centre is a fast-paced dynamic environment suitable to a highly motivated and energetic individual. You will be part of diverse team that prioritizes patient care and leads in workplace safety.Description: As a Plumber/Steamfitter plans, you will perform a range of journeyperson level duties associated with the installation and plumbing services and piping systems, fixtures, equipment and controls used to transport water, waste, gas, air, and steam. You will be responsible for monitoring, testing, trouble shooting, documenting and analyzing performance of high and low pressure steam, hot water heating, associated distribution and control systems and equipment , plumbing, medical gas, domestic hot & cold water, tempered water, glycol, chilled water, natural gas, storm and sanitary sewer. In addition, you will prepare feasibility and cost estimates and reports and request or order supplies. Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Plumber and Journeyperson Steamfitter-Pipefitter certificates from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Trades Qualification/Journeyperson Certificates: Gasfitter A or B for the province of Alberta. AWWA Certified Cross Connection control tester. Minimum 1 year experience Medical Gas installer certified in compliance with CSA 2+ experience of Hospital/Institutional maintenance.
