Role PurposeReview, analyze and compare test results with specifications, tolerances, and targets to ensure product quality. Report test results and any deviations or trends immediately to the appropriate department and / or supervisor(s). Follow up to ensure the appropriate actions have taken place.Assist in formulating and optimizing products for the asphalt cement, cut-back, and emulsion product lines at the Clarkson plant and the Millhaven Terminal.Assist with the set-up, calibration, and maintenance of inspection, measuring and testing equipment in the laboratory as well with the general operation of the laboratory.Document and review of quality reports and informationPosition RequirementsCurrently enrolled in chemical engineering or civil engineering technician/technology program.Experience in such areas as asphalt cement, emulsion testing, and product development would be an asset.Good multi-tasking skills.Good knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.Analytical mind and good communication skills.Dynamic and autonomous.Capable of functioning effectively in laboratory, manufacturing, and administrative environments.Knowledge in the area of asphalt cement, polymers or emulsions would be an asset.Our PurposeAt Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP), our people are second to none.
