OverviewMillwright Team Leader – Afternoon Shift at Combined Metal Industries (CMI). Location: North York, with the ability to travel between sites. Competitive starting salary based on experience. Afternoon shift: Monday to Thursday 2:30pm to 12:00am, Friday 12:00pm to 9:00pm.CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America to prevent waste and provide material for reuse. This role focuses on maintenance and leadership within the Maintenance Team, performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning to support a safe and productive work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFoster a positive and motivating work environment by engaging and supporting employees.Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to provide effective training and development opportunities.Lead a crew of 2 or more employees, leveraging multi-skilled expertise.Perform preventive maintenance on all plant and yard equipment aligned with daily production requirements.Diagnose and repair breakdowns of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Fabricate parts and equipment based on instructions or blueprints.Install, commission, and test new machinery to ensure proper functionality.Execute welding repairs on equipment as needed.Assign work orders to employees or external contractors, ensuring clarity and prioritization.Procure supplies, parts, services, and equipment efficiently in partnership with the Maintenance Coordinator.Monitor completed repairs for adherence to quality standards and productivity benchmarks.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.Respond to service calls as required with swift and effective solutions.QualificationsPost-secondary education in Mechanical or Engineering Technology, or a Technician/Technologist diploma.
