OverviewOTA Operations Engineer - Release ManagementJoin to apply for the OTA Operations Engineer - Release Management role at Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies.Role SummaryAs the Release Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a global engineering operations team function that will maintain vehicle software updates and fleet health data for today and tomorrow. Specifically, this role will manage, monitor, and support vehicle software update campaigns and associated fleet health management data. This role is positioned within vehicle software engineering with cross-functional visibility and is a ground floor opportunity to revolutionize the connected car segment through development of streamlined and automated processes for managing vehicle software updates.ResponsibilitiesEnsure robust software update support for all consumer/commercial vehicles by proactively managing software updates and anomalies across Rivian’s global fleet.Assist and track OTA software update campaigns and associated processes across Rivian’s global fleet.Deploy, design, and implement analytics solutions using technology and deploy innovative offerings that facilitate fleet health user experience for software updates.Responsible for predicting, testing, and validating OTA and vehicle telematics solutions, end to end in partnership with Rivian Engineering and other teams.Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design to onboard and validate new OTA integrations, solutions, and features prior to releasing to production.Perform data analysis to maintain and monitor fleet health across the Rivian fleet.Qualifications3+ years working as a technical/operations engineer within the IoT, fleet management/wireless/networking, or connected car/EV industries.Experience with IoT solutions that involve complex OTA campaigns and fleet management software lifecycle management.Experience with automated data analysis and Big Data platforms (Databricks or Snowflake/Redshift).Experience with scripting in Python/PySpark, JavaScript, or automation in similar languages.Experience writing SQL queries to support business intelligence objectives.Experience with AWS/cloud technologies; CI/CD pipelines is preferred.Strong cross-functional experience with engineering, design, and service/customer support in IoT/OTA contexts.Pay DisclosureSalary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto Based Applicants: $105,100 - $131,400 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Irvine Based Applicants: $96,700 - $120,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Vancouver Based Applicants: 77,400 CAD - 96,800 CAD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).Benefits SummaryRivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26.
