OverviewOur client, a well-established civil construction contractor with a strong and growing presence in Alberta, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support a busy pipeline of projects in the Edmonton region. The company is actively delivering work across commercial, industrial, oil & gas, and residential sectors, with a particular emphasis on piling and deep foundation scopes.ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with project planning, execution strategies, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.Assist with preparation and maintenance of execution plans, work plans, and project schedules.Organize and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, RFQs, change orders, purchase orders, and document logs.Track daily quantities and production, preparing monthly summaries to support invoicing and cost control.Review subcontractor and supplier progress claims and assist with payment certification.Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding design changes, contract notices, and technical queries.Prepare for, attend, and document project meetings, distributing detailed and accurate meeting minutes.Support cost control and quantity tracking, ensuring alignment with cost codes and internal reporting systems.Assist site supervision with administrative and coordination tasks as required.Conduct regular site visits (typically 1–2 times per week per project) to support field teams and maintain alignment between site and office.Support implementation of project quality management systems and final turnover documentation.Assist with implementation and compliance of corporate Health & Safety programs.Ideal Candidate RequirementsDiploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 1 year of experience in a Project Coordinator, Field Engineer, or similar role within civil construction.Experience supporting piling, foundations, or shoring projects (CFA piling, cast-in-place piles, sheet piling) is a strong asset; broader civil construction experience will also be considered.Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation or working toward professional registration is considered an asset.Strong understanding of construction documentation, cost tracking, and project controls.Proficiency with Excel, Word, MS Teams, and scheduling or construction management software (HCSS, MS Project considered assets).Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.Why this Firm?Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.RRSP matching program to support long-term financial planning.Ongoing training, mentorship, and career development opportunities.Exposure to diverse civil construction projects across multiple market sectors.Strong project pipeline providing stability and long-term growth potential.Collaborative team culture with a focus on safety, quality, and work-life balance.Interested candidates are encouraged to send their resumes in Word document format to alex.ciotoiu@torustalent.com.
