Our Integrated Mining Team is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, power systems and mining equipment throughout Northern BC and the Yukon. If you are a customer focused Heavy Duty Mechanic (with Red Seal endorsement); embrace challenges, and thrive in an environment that values hard work and integrity, with ample opportunities for growth and development, Finning IMT may be the next opportunity for you. • Full time, Permanent • 14x14 continuous day and night shift rotations • $54.08 / hr (base rate) • Hourly Premiums available: - Field $2.55 / hour - Night Shift $2.25 / hour • Travel Allowance (Up to $1,000 / Rotation) • Paid breaks, vacation and sick time • Overtime & Double Time hours available • Continuous Shift: up to 15 scheduled weeks off per year • Industry leading Employer paid benefits • Employee Share Purchase Plan Options • RRSP and Retirement Plan options • Boot and Tool Allowance • Employee Rewards – exclusive access to discounts and perks • CAT Dealer grade training## **Job Description:****Major Job Functions:*** Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment in an active mine environment* Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs* Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily* Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes, site failure reports)* Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team* Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required\*Candidate selection will be in accordance with the current Collective Agreement\*\***Qualifications:*** Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification* Red Seal Off Road certificate required* Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract* Proven field experience with a preference for experience in mining operations* Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail and ability to work independently* Computer literacy along with an understanding of Finning systems and software programs would be considered assets\*\*Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement\*\***Important Details:*** This position is based on a 14x14 continuous day shift/night shift rotation* A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable* **Union Membership:** You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
