Teacher 1.0 fte Location: Lindsay Thurber High School January 5, 2026 to June 29, 2026 Temporary position replacing a leave of absence The successful teacher will provide leadership and support as part of a collaborative team to effectively meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles. Responsibilities And Expectations The ability to provide flexible programming for a diverse group of learners with mild to severe learning profiles. Commitment to supporting inclusive learning environments at a variety of grade levels for students with complex learning needs. A focus on supporting students in their various areas of development based on strengths and interests for areas of growth. The ability to organize and facilitate student access to contracted service providers such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech services. Desirable Qualifications Eligible for an Alberta Professional Teaching certificate, additional training or experience in the field of special education will be an asset. Successful teaching experience. Experience in teaching students with complex learning and/or behavioural profiles. Strong organizational skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to positively interact with a team.
