Job Description We are currently looking for a Bilingual Automotive Technical Trainer at our Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON. This position is hybrid and requires 4 days in our Ajax office. Under the leadership of the Manager, Group Academy, the role is primarily responsible for providing technical training to all Volkswagen and Audi dealership service personnel in the application of automotive technologies and processes. Training includes theoretical and hands‑on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures and is delivered through a wide range of blended learning options. Based at the Ajax Corporate Office, the trainer will manage the day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the training centre, schedule classes accurately through the Learning Management System (LMS), and review, maintain, and develop course content. Responsibilities Advocate for the VW and Audi brands Provide technical instruction based on the Service Training curriculum for technicians Plan and maintain a continuous three‑month rolling Service Training schedule, entering schedules into the LMS and closing rosters after each class Review, maintain, and develop curricula, specific courses, and technical education methods Determine core competencies, training needs, and develop training action plans for dealership staff Manage the Learning Center’s day‑to‑day operations and maintain assets such as vehicles, equipment, storage, and security procedures Qualifications College diploma and/or equivalent work experience Provincial Technician license or Interprovincial license must be held 3+ years’ experience in a technical automotive position within an OEM dealership 3+ years’ experience in training or teaching Fluency in French and English (oral and written) Logical thinking and adaptability High‑level facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills Self‑motivated, well organised, and a continual learner of automotive technology Personal computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Team player with credibility building with dealer and internal teams Customer focus and process orientation Attention to detail and results‑driven mindset Flexible for up to 25% travel within Canada Valid passport required Effective team leadership and collaboration skills Flexible with overtime as needed Skills Critical thinking Dealership Management System proficiency Risk‑based inspection Failure analysis Structured workflow Quality Assurance (QA) Technical inspection Condition monitoring Observation and monitoring Maintenance testing and skills Training program design Integrative thinking Problem solving What You’ll Get in Return A flexible and collaborative team dynamic Opportunities to participate in company events that give back to the community Competitive employer‑paid benefits, pension, and overall compensation package Additional benefits and perks Volkswagen Group Canada is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
