Overview Join RBC as the Associate Director, Actuarial on our Corporate Actuarial Strategic Initiatives team. This leadership role drives critical IFRS 17 transformation, CSM engine enhancements, and expert advisory across finance, actuarial, and regulatory functions. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end finance and actuarial transformation workstreams to improve reporting accuracy, data integrity, and system implementation. Investigate existing CSM calculation issues, conduct deep‑dive analysis, root‑cause identification, and configuration review to develop enhanced tools and documentation. Provide IFRS 17 technical advisory to Portfolio, Capital, and Financial Reporting teams on standard interpretation, calculation methodologies, and reporting requirements. Collaborate cross‑functionally with senior stakeholders to resolve high‑impact technical issues related to CSM emergence, profitability analysis, and regulatory compliance. Summarize complex findings into clear, actionable presentations and recommendations for senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders. Lead and contribute to strategic ad‑hoc projects as transformation programs evolve, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail for complex problem solving and investigative work. Knowledge of IFRS 17, including CSM emergence and its application in different measurement models. Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional collaboration and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Extensive experience with GGY AXIS and familiarity with insurance product modeling and valuation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical results to non‑technical audiences. Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related discipline. FSA or close to FSA.
