2 Legal Roles - Short-Term Partner Track - Commercial & Tax:

We are privileged to collaborate with a boutique commercial law firm in downtown Montreal that has been in business for nearly 50 years. With two Partners nearing retirement, we are seeking one (1) Corporate/Commercial Lawyer and one (1) Tax Lawyer to join the team, with the goal of assuming Partner roles.

The firm boasts a tight-knit and entrepreneurial culture, and offers competitive compensation with significant long-term growth prospects.

Qualifications:
A member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
5-10 years of experience in a law firm (in either Commercial/Corporate/Tax)
Excellent writing, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset

Responsibilities:
Provide strategic legal advice to the firm’s clientele
Draft, review and negotiate commercial and transactional contracts, including commercial leases, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreement, financing agreements, etc.
Develop and implement business and tax strategies in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions
