With a strong local presence and top-tier talent, we deliver high-quality services as we help our customers bring their resources to our world.As the HSE Lead at ClearWater, you will leverage your deep understanding of OHS regulations to promote a safety-focused culture among employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing technical expertise in environment, health, and safety. This position requires flexibility for maintenance projects and frequent travel to remote sites.ResponsibilitiesLead and continuously improve the company’s health and safety programs, including policy updates, Safety Management Plans, and alignment with industry best practices.Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to maintain safe work environments and support emergency response, facility security, and required safety registries.Support key certification and audit processes (COR/COHR), including internal and external audits, corrective action planning, and training requirements.Conduct inspections, hazard analyses, and incident investigations, ensuring unsafe conditions are addressed and trends are communicated to management.Manage safety communications and reporting, including monthly safety messages, incident statistics, and day-to-day safety equipment and program needs.Perks of the jobMeaningful Impact on Safety & Well‑Being: You play a central role in shaping a strong safety culture, preventing incidents, and directly protecting workers’ health, making the work highly purposeful and rewarding.High Visibility & Leadership Influence: You work closely with operations, leadership, clients, and regulators, providing you with strong organizational visibility and the opportunity to influence decisions across multiple sites.Continuous Learning & Professional Growth: The role keeps you engaged with evolving safety standards, audits, certifications, inspections, and industry best practices, creating constant opportunities to expand your expertise.Diverse, Dynamic Work Environment: From inspections and emergency response support to incident investigations, audits, and safety program development, each day brings variety and the chance to solve meaningful challenges.Competitive pay with Benefits available after 300 hours.QualificationsCertification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and/or Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (OHS) preferred.Knowledge and experience with HSE Management Systems and audit tools, including Alberta Partnerships Certificate of Recognition (COR).Relevant safety tickets: WHMIS, CSTS-09, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO).Ability to lead a team of HSE Advisors effectively.Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.Additional InformationCandidates shortlisted will be required to complete the Profile TRAITS Survey. The purpose of the TRAITS Survey tool is to assist ClearWater in understanding the behaviors of individuals to support the best use of their strengths, abilities, and potential.
