Position Overview Under the general direction of the Program Team Manager, Nephrology, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse is responsible for: providing quality nursing care for patients requiring pre-dialysis management and peritoneal dialysis in the hospital and community settings (including home visits); and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience Minimum two (2) years recent Nephrology nursing experience. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) B.N. preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Manitoba Nursing Nephrology Course is required. Certification / Licensure / Registration Current CRNM registration required. Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. Valid driver's license and use of own vehicle required. NOTE: ANNUAL BLS LEVEL C REGISTRATION / RE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Qualifications And Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria, as applicable to the position: experience, education, patient care and clinical knowledge/skills, leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, quality improvement, teaching skills, research knowledge, professional development and seniority.
