Base pay range CA$55.00/hr - CA$55.00/hr Our client is seeking a contract based Power BI Analyst to work on their Data Analytics and AI team. Duration: 7 months + ext Location: Remote Responsibilities Analyze, map, and transform raw data from various sources to support business reporting needs. Gather, refine, and document user requirements by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI that deliver actionable insights. Conduct data validation and quality assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reports. Build complex data models, DAX measures, and transformations to support advanced analytics. Provide subject matter expertise in Power BI capabilities, best practices, and performance optimization. Participate in team discussions and contribute to solution design for data-related challenges. Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, design specs, and user guides for Power BI reports and tools. Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data analytics, visualization, and reporting technologies. Requirements 5+ yrs experience in Microsoft Power BI Desktop (visualizations, data modeling, DAX, dashboards). Experience with reporting tools and building analytical dashboards for business stakeholders. Business Analyst or Product Owner experience—ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and clarify reporting needs. Expert proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (recommended). Expert-level SQL coding (preferred). Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Power Query. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and data transformations.
