Opportunity The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) invites a dynamic bilingual (French/English) individual to join its secondary teaching team to provide continuous, high‑quality education during the temporary absence of the regular teacher. The successful candidate will support student achievement and well‑being in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Board policies. Position Details Location: John F. Ross CVI Effective dates: January 30 2026 – June 26 2026 Rate of pay: $59,300.82 – $119,670.49 per annum (prorated based on FTE; grid rate effective September 1 2025) Required qualifications: Intermediate/Senior French & Arts Seniority level: Mid‑Senior Employment type: Temporary Job function: Other; Industries: Education Responsibilities The Long‑Term Occasional Teacher will: Deliver the curriculum in visual arts and maintain consistent instructional quality during the temporary absence of the regular teacher. Plan, implement, and assess effective learning experiences that align with Ontario’s curriculum frameworks. Support student well‑being, manage behaviour, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues, TEOs, and the school leadership to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of learning.
