Mfg Operations Specialist

Overview:
Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist I. This position will work under limited supervision operating moderately complex equipment in the continuous-operation manufacturing of strand wire into woven chain link fence. Associate will also be responsible for the sets-up and operation of one or more weaving machines, inspecting for quality and troubleshooting problems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Using verbal instructions or manufacturing order forms, requests specific gauge and finish of raw material from yard employee and/or retrieves the correct material with forklift.
- Sets-up weaving machine for correct height and selvage of wire fabric and threads machine with wire ends.
- Starts, stops and monitors weaving operation on one or more weaving machines. Corrects minor problems such as tangles and misweaves and reports major problems to Supervisor or maintenance dept.
- Performs visual inspection on finished material and material in-process for misweaves, poor quality raw material, etc.
- Monitors roll length counter and removes woven wire from take-up roll.
- May drive forklift to move wire to staging area.

Partir, arrêter et vérifier l’opération de tricotage d’une ou deux machines. Corriger les problèmes mineurs tel que broches mêlées, broches manquées et aviser le superviseur pour les problèmes majeurs._
- _ Enfiler et ajuster la machine. Éventuellement être capable de procéder aux différents « set-up »._
- _ Faire une inspection visuelle continue du produit durant tout le processus de fabrication._
- _ Vérifier le compteur pour la longueur désirée. Attacher, sortir et mettre en palette le rouleau._
- _ Possibilité d’avoir à conduire un chariot élévateur dans l’éventualité ou la palette doit être déplacée et que la personne qui le fait ne soit pas disponible._
- _ Garder les aires de travail propre._
- _ Accomplir toutes autres tâches demandées._

Qualifications:

- Able to physically lift 75+ lbs. regularly.
- Weaving experience is preferred*
- _ Une expérience dans le domaine serait un atout._
- _ Capable de lever une charge de 75lbs régulièrement._
