Join to apply for the Engineer in Training (EIT) role at Ontario Mining Association. We are looking to hire an Engineer in Training / Engineering Graduate for one of our mine sites in Timmins, Ontario on a full‑time basis. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on/3 off, 10 hrs/day. This position requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not camp‑based. Job Responsibilities Rotate through various engineering functions (surface and underground) that may include surveying, ventilation, ground control, longhole planning, development design, scheduling, and day‑to‑day tracking. Short‑term planning. Embed with underground production crews to understand mine production roles firsthand. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited university. Seeking P.Eng. license with PEO when eligible. Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and techniques as they apply to ore body evaluation and underground mine operations. Proficiency in mine planning software (Desik.CAD and Deswik.Sched). Eligibility to work in Canada.
