Job Description This posting is for Extendicare Guildwood at 60 Guildwood Parkway, Toronto, ON. This posting is for the Grocery/Cleaner (GRO/CLN) position. Responsibilities Responsible for receiving groceries in good condition and within proper temperature and putting away groceries. Organizing fridge, freezer, and dry storage unit using FIFO. Able to tolerate working in cold conditions in walk-in fridge and freezers (4C and -18C conditions). Ability to lift over 50lbs. Cleaning commercial kitchen equipment and general kitchen cleaning using chemicals and following MDS/WHMIS. What You Bring Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act required. If enrolled, you must complete the program within three (3) years of hire date. Current Food Handler`s Certificate Previous dietary experience preferred in LTC (Long Term Care) Home 0-1 year(s). Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Ability to read and write English as well as to understand simple verbal and written instructions in English. Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
