Autism Consultant – Kinark Child and Family Services Job Summary The ASD Consultant will provide individualized consultation and group‑based programming under the supervision of a Board‑Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team to support students entering school for the first time, assigned to the York or Simcoe region. The role may include supporting Kinark’s Fee‑for‑service and/or Foundational Family Services. This is a temporary, full‑time position with a 12‑month contract. You may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day and may work out of other Kinark sites or across programs within a 50 km radius based on operational needs. Duties & Responsibilities Provide expert Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) clinical and consultative support to school teams and families. Develop effective evidence‑based practices for students with ASD in the educational environment. Deliver school readiness curriculum in group‑based settings. Conduct individualized parent and mediator coaching. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to meet program outcomes. Develop resource materials and facilitate training opportunities for educators and caregivers. Complete behavioural assessments. Participate in treatment planning, program and report writing. Support the delivery of OAP services. Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is considered an asset. Minimum three years experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and ASD. Experience with school‑based transitions and the delivery of consultation‑based services will be considered a strong asset. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary team environment. Travel in the York and/or Simcoe area is required; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.
