Markham, Canada Glowing Growth Autism Services Full time

Glowing Growth Autism Services Inc. is now looking for **Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP)**to join our treatment team and a continuously growing clinic.

The SLP will work with our behaviour team collaboratively in providing services for children with autism or other related disabilities. This position will be a consultation based position in which the SLPs report to the clinical director.

**RESPONSIBILITIES** (but not limited to)

  • Identify children's developmental speech and communication disorders and deficits.
  • Consult with the behaviour team and provide recommendation/suggestions for goals/programs.
  • Conduct language assessment and provide reports to families and the team.
  • To model language facilitation strategies and the use of visual materials, communication devices/systems to the behaviour team.
  • Create and develop therapy materials as needed.

**qualifications**

  • Masters Level Degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) is preferre.
  • Previous experience working with children required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and the ability to work flexible hours with travel.
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • A vehicle for travel and valid driver's licence is required.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Screen

**Salary**: From $80.00 per hour
