Shift Supervisor – Store# 00178, BLUNDELL Join Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor, where you will assist the Store Manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and create a legendary customer experience. Responsibilities Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the Starbucks culture, values, and mission. Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team. Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customer cues. Communicate information to the Manager so the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift. Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching. Provide feedback to the Store Manager on partner performance during the shift. Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing partner morale changes and communicating them to the Store Manager. Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence. Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer‑first attitude. Discover and respond to customer needs. Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivations, needs, and concerns. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts. Organize opening and closing duties as assigned. Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security, to ensure partner safety during each shift. Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash handling practices are followed by the shift team. Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with the Store Manager to find new, creative recognition methods. Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift. Summary of Experience Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to direct the work of others. Ability to learn quickly. Effective oral communication skills. Knowledge of the retail environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
