Be part of our dedicated Microbiology and Histology teams. Required Graduate of an approved school for Laboratory Technologists (MLT students and new graduates actively pursuing CSMLS certification are welcome). Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario. Technical skills and ability to perform essential duties of the position as determined by Quinte Health. Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. Duties Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, many complex and requiring professional judgement. Competency tests may be performed in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology (incl. coagulation), and Immunohematology (Blood Bank). Professional application of principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology to produce reliable test results. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Analysis Strength: Rarely – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling. Mobility: Frequently – standing, fine finger movement; Occasionally – reaching. Dexterity: Frequently – reaching, neck, elbow, shoulder, wrist and back; Often – fine finger movement.
