Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Utilities Industry in Leduc, Alberta. This is a senior engineer role focusing on System Integrity & Standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and revising engineering standards for projects. Collaboration with stakeholders and identifying improvement opportunities are key aspects of this position. The role includes leading a team with one direct report, an EIT. No prior management experience is required, just a strong aptitude for leadership. Training, including external courses, will be provided.
Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of Risk Assessment processes per the Company's Integrity Management Program (IMP).
- Develop and maintain Company engineering standards and procedures, including the Company Standard Practice Manual (SPM).
- Prepare quarterly system integrity and asset management reports, addressing risk-related concerns.
- Present technical reports and complex system analyses, making recommendations based on the results.
- Analyze field data related to the IMP and make necessary changes for Company Pipeline Systems.
- Prepare standardized station and pipeline facilities and new standards for the Company's SPM.
- Develop and maintain design processes and internal engineering group procedures.
- Review and revise the SPM annually, recommending and directing changes as needed.
- Approve all changes to the SPM before inclusion and ensure compliance.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Registration with APEGA as a P.Eng
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Intermediate CAD skills
- Basic asset management and financial services software knowledge (e.g., Maximo)
- Basic GIS/ESRI knowledge
- $118,170 to $131,274 (maximum) salary
- Full benefits on the 1st day
