Role overview The Head of Strategy is a senior agency leader responsible for integrated media strategy, client growth, and team leadership. Reporting to the President, this role leads a team of media planners & account managers, and is a key contributor to the broader leadership agenda across operations, ad operations, sales, and data analytics. Key responsibilities Lead strategic media planning for key clients, ensuring strong performance, satisfaction, retention, and investment growth. Build and maintain senior‑level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on marketing and media. Identify and convert growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new business development (including pitches and RFPs). Design and deliver clear, compelling presentations that connect media recommendations to business outcomes. Coach and develop the Strategy team, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and proactiveness. Define client success metrics, roadmaps, and processes to measure performance against objectives. Represent HATCH in senior client meetings, presentations, and negotiations. Qualifications Proven experience leading agency media strategy for complex, integrated media campaigns, including executive‑level client relationship management and business growth responsibility. Deep expertise across paid channels: digital (search, social, programmatic) and traditional (broadcast, OOH), with a track record of integrated planning and buying. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect media strategy to client growth, profitability, and long‑term value. Excellent communication skills, with confidence in both written and verbal executive‑level presentations. Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Active interest in advertising technology, industry developments, and their implications for clients and media strategy.
