You will help shape how the world sees us, bringing to life the stories of our clients, our vans, and the people who build them.This role is the organic engine of Yama. Your work will be central to reaching the right audiences, deepening brand trust, and driving real business ROI through premium content and strong social strategy. You will be a creative linchpin in the company, leading both strategy and delivery with confidence, taste, and follow through.What the role is likeThis is a dynamic role that moves between the desk and the field. It is fully in person at Yama HQ, with regular time on location to capture the stories that matter. Month to month you will find yourself out shooting on location (in all seasons), at Yama HQ, or at events like trade shows, bike races, partner activations, and backcountry camping trips in Alberta, BC, and beyond.Day to day, you will be editing premium photo and video, building and running a content calendar, and growing Yama’s organic social channels. You will work closely with our CXO and Co Founder, but you are expected to lead the strategy and execution at the same time. This is a role with real ownership, not a narrow lane.Core ResponsibilitiesContent CreationOwn and evolve Yama’s visual creative direction, in collaboration with Marketing leadership, ensuring every asset feels unmistakably Yama.Build and run the content production system, including repeatable workflows for planning, shooting, editing, approvals, storage, and delivery.Plan, shoot, and edit premium photo and video across vans, clients, lifestyle, events, and deliveries, with a consistent premium finish.Lead and manage shoot logistics end to end, including props, inventory, locations, models, timelines, contractors, and permits as required.Build and maintain an organized cross-channel content library that is easy for the team to access, search, and reuse.Uphold Yama’s premium brand standards across all visual touchpoints, ensuring our content reflects a premium product and experience.Social and Channel GrowthOwn and grow Yama’s organic social channels, acting as the channel lead and system owner for how we show up online.Build and run the social system, including channel strategy, content calendar, publishing workflows, community practices, and performance reporting.Develop and execute a social strategy and content calendar aligned with brand and business goals, with a clear focus on reaching the right audiences.Lead low-volume, high-quality creator and influencer partnerships from outreach to delivery, prioritizing fit and impact over scale.Track performance, share insights, and optimize content and channel approach over time, continuously improving what we make and how we distribute it.Ensure organic content drives measurable outcomes, including brand reach, qualified leads, and sales momentum.Stay current on platform trends and best practices. Bring a learning mindset, test new approaches, and evolve strategy as social platforms and algorithms change.Travel and driving expectationsThis role includes travel to capture adventures, events, key brand moments, and client stories. You will also be driving and operating vans for shoots.You will need to be:Comfortable travelling 4-5 times per year (typically within BC and Alberta, but sometimes into the US)A very confident driver with a high degree of responsibility and a clean driving recordOff-roading experience is a strong assetQualificationsMust haves4+ years of experience working in marketing, with organic content marketing experience preferredStrong experience with social media strategy and organic channel growth with proven track recordProven ability to produce high-quality photos and video for premium brands, supported by a portfolioA robust gear kit and confidence using it in varied outdoor conditions (compensation for depreciation will be provided)Ability to think strategically, prioritize effectively, and lead projects end-to-endHigh taste level and strong judgment with a clear instinct for brand consistencyOwnership mentality and the drive to see projects through to completion without heavy oversightPassion for the outdoors and outdoor lifestyle, and a real interest in the adventures our clients are building towardAssetsExperience working with outdoor brands or adventure lifestyle productsDrone piloting experienceComfort using AI tools to support content workflows, ideation, and efficiencyOff-roading or backcountry travel experienceHow To ApplyTo apply, please complete the application form linked below.
