Access opportunities within Sandvik Mining, located in Mississauga, ON. This role interfaces between Sales Teams, technical and operational stakeholders, Finance, and Legal to ensure coherence and consistency in the development, negotiation and finalization of customer quotations, proposals and contracts. The Commercial Contracts Specialist will assist in improving and/or maintaining the highest business standards in relation to customer engagement, through mentoring and guiding of Sales Teams and other internal stakeholders on Sandvik’s commercial processes. What You Will Be Doing Develop and maintain customer quotation / proposal / contract templates to drive consistent customer experience and mitigate commercial and legal risk for Sandvik. Responsible for supporting Local / Global Framework Agreements with customers. Act as local approver for any commercial deviations within new quotations, working cross-functionally to ensure compliance with other parts of the business such as Finance and Supply Chain. Formal management of the business risk assessment of contracts (new and amended) prior to business commitment. Support key stakeholders within the Sales Areas to ensure faster approval timelines and smoother submission process within Salesforce CRM. Train and embed new commercial management tools, systems, and processes as part of any global rollout. Lead regional training on commercial excellence – benchmark practices, Sandvik ways of working. Conduct forensic process auditing of regional adherence to internal policies and procedures, prepare gap assessments and recommended gap closures to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Support the Internal Controls and process compliance teams in their respective auditing to comply with internal policies and procedures, prepare gap assessments and recommended gap closures. Investigate and log process deviations within the Sales Area and recommend next steps to drive accountability and continuous improvement. What You Will Bring Along 7+ years of experience in sales commercial contract lifecycle management with direct involvement in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements and post execution management. Experience within the mining and/or heavy construction industries is preferred. Strong track record collaborating with Legal Counsel, Finance, and Sales on structuring commercial terms, assessing liability exposure, and ensuring adherence to approval processes. A clear and well-developed understanding of contract principles and legal terms and conditions is a must, and you must be able to understand financial reporting and business case assessment. Skilled in change management, and contractual compliance monitoring, ensuring Sandvik’s commercial interests are protected throughout the contract lifecycle.
