This position is based in Calgary.ResponsibilitiesAs a Procurement Specialist, you will:Provide direction and guidance to suppliers to reduce lead times while maintaining quality standards to meet project schedules.Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes to fulfill service and project requirements effectively.Proactively identify potential supply risks and develop mitigation plans with suppliers to ensure service levels and project timelines are achieved.Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.Direct procurement activities using the MRP workbench and analyze/resolve MRP exception reports.Collaborate with suppliers to communicate and implement NovAtel procurement strategies for on-time delivery and high-quality performance.Support strategies such as Kanban, safety stock, and other risk mitigation programs to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery.Monitor and track shipments, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery.Coordinate resolution of quality issues and expedite material shortages with suppliers.Assist in maintaining and setting up parts in the ERP system and participate in continuous improvement projects.Cross-train and provide support to the Procurement Specialist team as required.QualificationsMust-Have:Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management rolePost-secondary educationExperience and use of ERP/MRP, Kanban, Safety stock, and visual manufacturing systemsDemonstrated ability to work independently to achieve set objectives and deliverablesExperience with risk mitigation strategies and continuous improvement initiativesStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and OutlookPreferred experience in the manufacturing and electronics industryKey Success Factors:Strong interpersonal, as well as written and spoken communication skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skillsSelf-motivated and an excellent team playerAbility to influencethe team and build rapport with stakeholdersStrength in solvingmoderate to complex problemsAdapts information/style to audience, explains difficult issues clearly, establishes consensus and attains agreementExcellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skillsProactive approach to identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.Nice-to-Have:Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply ChainProven leadership of cross-functional teams, with specific experience in facilitation rolesLean manufacturing experienceProject management skillsThe Company: Hexagon is a global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies.
