Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this role works closely with Site Managers, Field Engineers, and Authorized Inspectors to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.LocationOn-site, Kitchener, ONYour Day to Day as Quality Control TechnicianUndertake moderately complex technical assignments in support of activities that are part of an ongoing quality programPerform quality control duties on projects/sites including:Monitor processes via MITPsEnsure procedures are adhered to during project executionVerify and maintain training records electronically in GTS or on paper recordsPerform NDE related responsibilities on projects, where union jurisdictions allowThis may be in a radiological environmentPerform material receipt and in-process inspections to ensure compliance to BWXT standards, technical specifications and the ASME codeAssist with the review and completion of Work Packages/History DocketsAssist with procedure and MITP reviewsPerform vendor source inspection as requiredRequired QualificationsPost-secondary diploma in NDE or Quality Technology, or related education3–5 years of relevant industry experienceCGSB Level 2 Liquid Penetrant certification required; additional Level 2 certifications in other NDE methods are an assetCWB Level 1 or 2 certification considered an assetStrong NDE background with solid knowledge of inspection processes; familiarity with ASME Code preferredComfortable working in confined spaces and radiation environmentsWilling to travel extensively (up to 70%) and work nights, weekends, and statutory holidays, with potential for extended hours (70+ per week)Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team settingSecurity ClearanceThis role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
