Career Opportunity: Diabetes Educator Location: Prince George, BC Employment Type: Full Time. The Opportunity As an integral part of the Mobile Diabetes Clinic, and in collaboration with other health providers, the Diabetes Educator implements and delivers a range of diabetes services to communities. These range from health promotion initiatives, to a series of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention objectives aimed at increasing First Nations access to diabetes care/education, and improving overall health outcomes. Advocates for First Nations affected by diabetes, and related health conditions. Plans and implements diabetes care goals across the lifespan (high risk individuals, Pre-Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, etc.). Maintains thorough and up-to-date paper and/or electronic client records as per governing college. Wage Range The target hiring range for this position is $35.0796 to $63.4893 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
