It’s very special that our town and operations are all close by, so it really does feel like one big community.About the roleAs the Superintendent- Mining you will be responsible and accountable for all activities conducted in the Cochenour Mine to ensure the safest and most efficient use of resources, for monitoring processes to attain maximum efficiency, for ensuring crew health and safety, for cost-effectiveness, and for achieving overall environmental and corporate objectives of the operation at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation.Schedule is 14 days on / 14 days off – 12-hour shifts.Key Result Areas in this role include:Provide strategic and active direction for underground operationsPrepare and control Mine department’s annual goals and objectivesEnsure compliance to annual budgetProvide strategic direction and leadership in the development and enhancement of Mine policies and proceduresProvide operations and technical guidance in the development of best techniques, best practices, and the introduction of best equipment to improve the performance of the undergroundProvide technical and operating support to various projectsProvide strategy and direction for the development of short and long-term plans for the safe, cost-effective and efficient removal of ore reserves at the budgeted rateEnsure the underground meets targets on safety, dilution, grade control, development and productionEnsure production plans, ventilation, ground and geological controls are in place to allow for proper stope sequencingManage contractors and ensure objectives of the mining agreement are being fulfilledAssess the performance of the underground operation through reports, control procedures, and site inspections, and make the necessary adjustmentsInteract with other departments, mining contractors, consultants, and MOL officialsWork in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-freeComply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirementsAdhere to all relevant corporate policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedAbout youAs the Superintendent- Mining you should have 10 years’ experience in the field with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
