Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada Salary: $55,400 - $83,000 CAD What You’ll Do As an Auto Claims Advisor, you’ll provide advice and support to customers and ensure they feel taken care of in their time of need. You’ll represent TD Insurance to assist in facilitating and coordinating a claim from start to finish. Make an impact by supporting customer claims from start to finish: arrange towing, set up appraisals, and outline the extent of coverage under the policy terms. Gather, organize, and verify required information from all sources to ensure a thorough and complete compilation of facts to resolve claims. Reconcile estimates from new and preferred vendors to reach appropriate settlements for vehicle damages. Contribute to team productivity by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratio. Collaborate with internal partners, stakeholders, and external vendors (e.g., Enterprise, TD Auto Centre partners, repair shops, and non-preferred shops). Experience Growth Research coverage scenarios and apply knowledge to customer claim files. Learn and demonstrate customer-centric and strategic objectives while contributing to TD Insurance Group’s deliverables. Cultivate our Culture of Care Greet and welcome customers at TD Auto Centres when available. Apply non-biased, appropriate methods to achieve file resolution and a fair settlement for each case. Communicate clear claims processing requirements to customers with detailed notes and timely updates. Contribute to a positive team environment and collaborate as a member of the Auto Claims Team. Job Requirements – What You Need to Succeed One or more years of claims adjusting experience is preferred, but applicants without specific claims experience are welcome; postsecondary education is an asset. Excellent customer service skills; dedicated to meeting or exceeding client expectations. Strong time management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Proven ability to negotiate positive outcomes when reasonably possible. Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills; strong active listening. Ability to conduct thorough investigations, analyze evidence, and identify discrepancies or gaps in data and reports. Support for company process improvements. Candidates actively pursuing CIP designation or other relevant continuing education are preferred. Provincial claims licensing may be required.
