OverviewAccident Benefits Adjuster role at Crawford & Company. We are currently seeking an Accident Benefits Adjuster to join our team in Alberta or British Columbia, Canada. This field position allows candidates to be located in any city within Alberta. The successful applicant will play a key role in evaluating loss claims, with a particular emphasis on accident benefits claims through thorough and comprehensive loss investigations. Candidates should be eligible to apply for a multiple adjuster license. ResponsibilitiesReviews and analyzes experts’ reportsSelects and directs independent expertsIdentifies and pursues subrogation opportunitiesSecures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgetsDetailed recording of file activities and transactions in Crawford & Company and client-based systemsMaintains accurate expense accountsWorks with manager to maintain client relationsAbility to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators QualificationsMinimum 2 years functional/technical experience in an insurance environment, knowledge of accident benefits or bodily injuryIdeal candidate will have medical insurance knowledge, specializing in motor vehicle claims, physical therapy or any medical claimsPolicy interpretation and experience, making recommendations to the market; active adjuster license or working towards a CIP and/or FCIP designationStrong report writing skillsMust be a team player with outstanding customer service skillsWillingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth About UsWhy Crawford?Because a claim is more than a number — it’s a person, a child, a friend.
