Senior Medical Director, Medical Affairs—Neuroscience, Rare Disease, General Medicine Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (19 Green Belt Drive, Toronto home office). Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Responsibilities Oversee the team responsible for developing medical strategies supporting all assets within NRG and executing those strategies from head office and the field, including the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP), medical education, and MSL execution plans. Lead the medical sciences vision and strategy for NRG, positioning Medical Affairs as a core pillar in the organization. Member of the Medical Affairs Leadership Team (MALT), contributing to the strategic vision and governance of the function. Lead the development and delivery of the MA strategic plan for early assets and the overall portfolio across the therapeutic area, ensuring adequate resourcing in alignment with patient needs and business priorities. Attract, develop, and manage core talent; build a diverse, high‑performing medical organization and broader talent pipeline. Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations. Guide the development and implementation of IEGP, including local medical assessment and approval of clinical study protocols. Represent Canada in global Medical Affairs forums, shaping global strategies and tactics to reflect Canadian market needs. Represent the company as a key clinical/scientific expert before professional associations and institutions, and interact closely with commercial and market‑access counterparts. Qualifications Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required; MD, PhD, or PharmD strongly preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related healthcare industry. Demonstrated success in Medical Affairs or clinical development. Preferred background in Neuroscience, Rare Disease, or General Medicine. Experience in direct people leadership, owning and leading other people leaders. Strong business acumen with understanding of market dynamics and value drivers. Ability to navigate complex and changing environments. Strategic and influencing skills, highly collaborative. Experience establishing and engaging medical expert / opinion leader networks. Experience in patient advocacy and engagement. Experience within a multi‑functional matrix organization. Strong stakeholder management, cross‑functional partnership, communication, and team building skills. Travel 15–20% internationally and within Canada. Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
