Our Curriculum Development team ensures that learners across Canada access accurate, current, and industry-leading educational content.  Position Overview The Curriculum Specialist ensures the accuracy, currency, and quality of content across Advocis’ designation, licensing, and curriculum programs. This role is ideal for a technically strong financial planning professional who is comfortable analyzing multiple-choice questions, updating course materials, and delivering online training to advisor audiences.  Key Responsibilities Curriculum Quality & Content Management • Maintain and update curriculum content. • Review and revise textbook chapters, assessments, instructor slides, and resource materials. • Ensure all content reflects current legislation and industry practice. • Collaborate with internal and external subject-matter experts. Assessment & Question Analytics • Analyze multiple-choice questions using foundational statistical methods. • Interpret question-level performance data in Excel to recommend revisions. • Maintain test bank quality and accuracy.  Candidate Support & Technical Guidance • Respond to candidate content questions and provide clear technical explanations. • Use learning platforms to post announcements, FAQs, clarifications, and guidance. • Refer complex issues to internal partners where appropriate.  Webinar Delivery • Deliver national webinars as needed. • Present financial planning concepts clearly and engagingly to advisor audiences.  Continuous Improvement & Insights • Monitor regulatory updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings. • Identify gaps or opportunities within existing curriculum and provide improvement recommendations.  What You Bring Required • CFP, CLU, PFA, or PFP designation (must have one). • Undergraduate degree in any discipline. • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning or advisory roles. • Strong written communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly. • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. • Ability to understand and apply basic statistical analysis to assessment items. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; able to work independently and collaboratively. Nice to Have • Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Blackboard, D2L, Moodle). • Experience in adult education or exam preparation. • Experience presenting technical topics in a virtual environment. What Success Looks Like • Education materials are accurate, current, and well-maintained. • Test bank questions perform reliably and fairly. • Candidates receive timely and accurate technical support. • Webinars are delivered professionally and effectively. • Content reflects legislative and industry changes promptly.
