Your responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements;
  • Maintains the general ledger, reviews and prepares journal entries, and ensures proper documentation and reconciliation of accounts;
  • Conducts variance analysis and ensures that variances and balances are understood and justified;
  • Support the preparation of tax returns, liaise with government authorities and ensure compliance with tax regulations;
  • Provide accounting expertise to the internal team on site;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the executive team, to provide financial insights and support business initiatives;
  • Perform the complete accounting cycle including adjustment entries;
  • Perform all other related tasks.


Requirements:

  • Available to work 5 days a week in the office
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in accounting or finance;
  • High knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards;
  • Knowledge of the AS400 program (asset);
  • High knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate and manage a team.
