Our land development group, for this portion of the business, works on a diverse range of projects, including ICI and Mixed-Use developments, and maintains strong relationships with both major builders and local developers. You'll have the opportunity to engage with clients from concept to completion, ensuring their visions become reality.About The RoleAs a key member of our team, you'll be the main point of contact for clients on various land development projects. Your responsibilities will include:Overseeing and managing day-to-day project tasks across multiple officesEnsuring project schedules, deadlines, and budgets are communicated and metActing as the primary client contact and managing all client and external agency correspondenceProducing detailed engineering design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3DSupporting and motivating the project team to meet client needs efficientlyManaging project budgets, preparing proposals, and leading business development initiativesDeveloping strong relationships with clients and identifying new business opportunitiesWorking closely with staff at all levels to ensure project efficiency and professionalismConducting invoicing and A/R,Manage and lead quality control processTravel for client and agency meetings, and occasional site visitsSupport other internal Burnside project teams from other sectors when neededWhat We’re Looking ForRegistered Professional Engineer (Ontario / PEO) with a minimum of 7 years of licensureA degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with at least 7-10 years of land development experienceAt least 5 years of design and project management experience in land developmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS ProjectStrong knowledge of municipal and provincial review processes and standardsExcellent communication skills, both written and oralAbility to manage multiple projects and lead staff teams effectivelyValid Ontario driver’s license and vehicleAdditional AssetsFormal project management training (PMP designation or similar)Experience in subdivision design, SWM, peer reviews, flood plain modeling, water distribution modeling, sewer design, and stormwater managementField services and contract administration experienceWhy You'll Love Working HereBurnside offers a collaborative environment where your contributions are valued, and your professional growth is supported.
