Senior Financial Analyst, Canada Controller Group – Canada Life We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Canada Controller Group. Permanent Full Time. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will work with the Manager and AVP in the areas of control oversight, process improvements, financial statement close processes, and other accounting projects. This role has broad scope of reach, with the opportunity to work with accounting and business professionals across the Canadian division to contribute to results. What You Will Do Provide support to the Canadian internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) program, including business process owners and other stakeholders. Assist in quarterly financial reporting and close processes across the Canadian business. Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and controls, including enhancements to documentation, opportunities for automation, and efficiencies in data analysis. Participate in ad hoc financial projects, and provide support on technical accounting projects and analysis. What You Will Bring CPA designation. 3–5 years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience. Highly motivated and proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Effective communication and strong relationship building skills. Well‑developed organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to identify opportunities and execute plans of action to create efficiencies. Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London or Winnipeg. The base salary for this position is between $63,500 and $117,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission, etc.).
