Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the CF188 Life Support Systems and Equipment Technician is responsible for performing on‑ and off‑aircraft Aircraft Life Support Systems and Equipment (LSS & ALSE) maintenance activities in support of First and Second line maintenance Units. What will you do: Perform work on aircraft life support systems and equipment (on and off aircraft) in accordance with Canadian Forces Technical Instruction (CFTO), technical drawings, work instructions and other applicable technical references; Maintain necessary ALSE‑related test and support equipment; Keep current with current and new technologies (hardware / software); Conduct maintenance activities on related systems, such as: Aircraft Life Support Equipment; Aircraft Life Support Systems; Liquid Oxygen (LOX) System; Oxygen Storage; Oxygen Purging; Fire Extinguishing System; Ejection System; Windshield and Canopy System; Provide hands‑on support to Military and L3 Harris technicians and Units on a required basis; Report any un‑airworthy conditions discovered; Work in close collaboration with military personnel; Carry out duties as directed by the Site Manager and L3Harris. Required Skills and Experiences: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post‑secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Knowledge of DMS; Knowledge of SAP; Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Endorsement on CF188 (asset); Experience in LOX storage and replenishment. Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory): Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program; Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance; Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
