One of Canada's leading manufacturers of protein products is seeking a Maintenance Lead Hand for their facility in Toronto, ON. The Maintenance Lead Hand will play a crucial role in the plants production and operations division, ensuring that all mechanical equipment and systems are operating efficiently. Responsibilities Monitor and maintain all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant. Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and perform necessary repairs. Execute preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages, or breakdowns. Assign tasks to employees, provide adequate training, and ensure all tasks are completed to specifications. Adhere to and utilize company policies/procedures and HACCP regulations. Qualifications Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Electrician (309A) certification. Minimum of two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems is an asset. Proficiency in using power and manual tools. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
