Responsibilities Shadow a Process engineer, Health and Safety Manager, Plant Optimization Leader and Business Leader for 3 month assignments to be educated in their roles and perform hands on learning activities as directed. Involvement in Plant Optimization projects Learn problem solving and continuous improvement methods relative to that portion of the business quarter. Write reports to demonstrate knowledge of the plant’s manufacturing processes, the roles and responsibilities of the support functions, and the technical knowledge of equipment and processes in a specific area. Perform a challenge assignment in each of the designated positions. Complete designated management and leadership courses for entry level managers. At the successful conclusion of the first year of the MLDP program, the candidate would then be typically assigned to a one year assignment as a Shift Operations Manager. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or three year certificate in engineering, business management or related discipline. Must be geographically mobile upon completion of the two year program. Candidates should be highly energized and self‑motivated with experience working with teams to implement change and be adept at communicating with all levels to get everyone on board. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Personal computer skills in a networked environment. Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
