Come join our team and share your passion with us We need you to complete our team as part of the Training Support Team at Garrison Petawawa to support CH147F Chinook Aircrew training.Position overviewIn this role, the CH147F Aircrew Training Specialist will be responsible for providing technical, flight or operational expertise, guidance and oversight as part of Verification and Validation support or as SME (Subject Matter Experts) on a Training Solutions team supporting the Courseware production of a Training Systems program. The successful candidate will join the Training Services team who provide training-focused services to (and located within) 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron (THS) in Petawawa, Ontario.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:ResponsibilitiesDevelop the training solution for the Training Systems programIn conjunction with the Instructional System Designer, develop the standardized exemplars for the storyboards and lessons for the programsSupport the courseware development process by ensuring that the content of the courseware is correct in accordance with the training plan, the technical specifications of the training platform (aircraft or maintenance system) and the procedures and checklistSupport the development of performance checks or tests to ensure the content of the questions or activities that must be performed provide a valid means of measuring whether students have acquired the knowledge needed to proceed to the next level or to graduateProvide first level quality assurance on output from the courseware developer ensuring that it is technically and procedurally correct, properly presented and in accordance with the training planCreate and maintain verification and validation work and test plansReview system test plans and create and maintain training and mission scenario test plansUse aircraft documentation to provide engineering support to software developers during integration activitiesTest synthetic training devices to ensure the design and regulatory requirements have been adequately met within budget and schedule constraints as per the department guidelines and project contractSupport the customer during on site acceptance testing activitiesWork with marketing to provide input to potential customers (as required), and assist with estimates for bids and proposalsMaintain military and aviation publicationsResolve technical issues in collaboration with CFO Technical Services staffQualifications and Education RequirementsGraduate of Royal Canadian Air Force aircrew course (wings qualified)Aircrew instructor (course code AIMB) is an assetTactical Aviation experience is an assetStrong computer aptitude and willingness to learn new programsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareCapable of obtaining and maintaining both Controlled Goods Clearance and a Level II NATO Secret security clearanceExcellent working knowledge of English (written and spoken).Functional ability in French is an assetPermitted to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work PermitWilling to relocate to the area of Petawawa, ON, CanadaPreferred SkillsExperience as a Standard Unit or Central Flying School member.Qualified Tactics or Weapons InstructorFlight or mission simulator experienceCAE offers:An environment where your initiatives will be recognized and valuedThe opportunity to work on a variety of projects on a multidisciplinary teamThe possibility to work from home occasionallyFlexible schedulesAttractive employee benefitsAbout CAEAt CAE, we equip people in critical roles with the expertise and solutions to create a safer world.
