Note Please note that this posting is for future opportunities at BDC.* Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Commercial Account Manager to build and develop a portfolio of businesses in various industries and grow their market presence within Ontario. In this role, you will create business financing opportunities and collaborate with the BDC Advisory Services team to offer tailored solutions that support growth. Responsibilities Prospecting and lead generation: identify potential clients through market research, networking, and targeted outreach. Client relationship management: build strong, long‑lasting relationships, understand financing needs, and provide personalized solutions. Advisory: collaborate with clients to understand challenges and goals, offering expert advice. Market research: monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the commercial financing landscape to spot new opportunities. Proposal development: prepare persuasive proposals and presentations showcasing our financing products and advisory services. Collaborative teamwork: partner with internal teams, including underwriters and credit analysts, to ensure seamless execution of financing solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA is a plus. Proven experience in business development, preferably in commercial financing or financial services. Knowledge of commercial lending products, financing options, and credit analysis. Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken, and strong negotiation and presentation skills. Capacity to think concisely. Results‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets. Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
