COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT MANAGER, SMALL BUSINESS – Mississauga City Centre Position Overview We are looking for a Commercial Account Manager, Small Business who will leverage their interpersonal strengths and network to generate new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing clients. Your main objective: to have an impact on the success of entrepreneurs with sales up to $3M through our financing solutions and advisory services adapted to their needs. Responsibilities Meet with entrepreneurs, clients and prospects, discuss their business specifics, identify issues, provide advice and recommend appropriate BDC service offerings. Execute action plans aligned with the Business Centre’s objectives to ensure growth and retention of current clients, acquire new clients and build a business opportunity pipeline. Analyze, negotiate and present financing proposals while exercising credit judgment. Be active in the local business community by networking within various associations and chambers of commerce to develop business relationships and obtain references that facilitate new client acquisition. Showcase analytical and negotiation skills while creating and presenting financial proposals that meet the requirements of entrepreneurs and BDC. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce or business administration. 1 to 3 years of experience in business development and a developed network in the business community. Ability to identify business issues and needs for entrepreneurs. Strategic listening, conscious conversation and strong persuasion and influence skills across diverse roles and backgrounds. Strong financial acumen and experience analyzing financial statements. Team spirit, structured organization and the ability to establish lasting relationships with peers, business contacts and external partners. Excellent negotiation skills, results‑oriented with concrete goal achievements. Bilingualism in French is an asset. A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required.
