This is a permanent, full-time position averaging 28 hours per week. For the first 12–18 months, you will play a key role in care coordination and clinical decision support during a maternity leave coverage period, working closely with two physicians and a dedicated receptionist. After this period, you will transition into a hands‑on patient care role, supporting our 19 Family Physicians and assisting across multiple specialties, including OB/GYN, general surgery, and gastroenterology. Educational Requirements: Licensure as a registered practical nurse and a member of the CNO in good standing. Accuro experience an asset. Other Requirements: Personal Liability Protection is required and the responsibility of the employee. CPR Level C – The Clinic will cover half the cost and is arranged in group format. Other Skills and Attributes: Speaking – ability to covey information to patients correctly Critical Thinking – Using logic to identify patient and physician needs on case‑by‑case basis. Adaptive and can make decisions under time constraints. Social Perceptiveness – need to be aware of patient’s reaction and understanding of instructions. Dexterity – using hands and arms to assist with procedures. Flexibility - multi‑tasking, time management, organization, attention to detail Professionalism and compassion effective interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication. Tasks and Duties: All technical duties within the scope of a registered nurse. Keep an inventory of office drugs, immunizations and other supplies used to assist in office procedures. Respect the dignity and privacy of patients by maintaining strict confidentiality of personal health information. Coordinate patient care and manage clinical workflows Review incoming documents, flag urgent results, and manage recalls for preventative and chronic care Communicate test results and provide patient education and advice within RN scope Assist with referrals, diagnostic imaging, and blood work recalls Support new patient intake and chart management Collaborate with reception for appointment triage and scheduling Provide hands‑on clinical support as needed (vitals, immunizations, wound care) Assist with forms and paperwork for insurance, disability, and medication coverage Participating in team meetings and contributing to practice improvement initiatives Deliver service to both patients and fellow Clinic members by engaging in positive interactions and following through on promises made in a thoughtful, efficient, timely and courteous manner so that their experience is better than expected. Any other duties needed to ensure consistent operation of the Clinic.
