Cost Accountant

Precision Castparts Corporation is a leading global supplier to the aerospace industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our PCC Woodbridge Team as Cost Accountant.The Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring proper standard cost accounting is followed for inventory and to provide support to the GM and all operational/supply chain teams. This position reports to the Group Controller.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Lead in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting related to income statements and balance sheetEnsure accuracy and timeliness of reporting from the operationsPrepare Ad hoc reports as needed by operations and managementServe as a financial business partner to the GM, operations and supply chain TeamsResponsible for all aspects of standard cost accounting for business productsSupport general accounting group within different areas of fixed assets, payables, and receivables for related cost issuesPrepare monthly closing journal entries and adjustments to financial records; organize, analyze and complete month end financial statements.Assist in annual physical inventoriesMonitor fixed asset capital projects from start to completionResponsible for monthly account reconciliationsProvide support to accounting staff and assist in resolving issues that arise in these areas with minimal supervisionWillingness to perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance projects as assignedResponsible for Excess & Obsolete reserve calculations on a quarterly basisReconcile and analyze monthly Standard Margin and Sales AnalysisCreate and maintain budget and forecasting activities for inventory balances and COGS.Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient processes, procedures, and use of resources while maintaining a high level of timeliness and accuracy.Support in the SOX programSkills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldThree to Five years experience in accounting preferably within a manufacturing environmentHighly organized and able to juggle multiple time sensitive projectsUnderstanding of GAAP and statutory accounting concepts and principlesExperience with a monthly close processProduction Reporting (Variable Cost, Productivity, Staffing)Standard Cost AccountingForecast and Budget processesHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically ExcelIf you’d like to further your career with a dynamic leader in the aerospace industry, we invite you to apply.
