AtkinsRéalis has one of the most experienced environmental and geosciences engineering consulting teams in Canada and is currently seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join our Fort St John, BC team.

Your role within the team:

  1. Historical data review and subsequent site inspections.
  2. Groundwater monitoring and sampling.
  3. Hydraulic conductivity testing.
  4. Surface soil and water sampling.
  5. Soil vapour sampling.
  6. Supervision of drilling activities.
  7. Installation of groundwater monitoring wells.
  8. Supervision of remedial excavations.
  9. Photographic and written documentation of site activities.
  10. Communication with on-site personnel and Project Manager.
  11. Assist in communicating and building relationships with clients.
  12. Promoting Health and Safety programs and culture.
  13. Working as a team with other regions as opportunities arise.

The ideal candidate:

  • Diploma or Degree from a program with relevant subject matter. Eligibility for professional designation is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience encompassing project execution, contractor supervision, and project coordination.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willing to undertake field work year-round and travel throughout Western Canada, at times for extended periods.
